Jazzy Kitty

Jasmine has been having a playful week! She got a new toy which was the best thirteen dollars ever spent at Wal Mart. The Cat's Meow...a rotating mouse tail that runs under a cover at all random cycles. She gets so excited she knocks the cloth cover right off and just watches the tail turn! She will play for a half hour straight- until the batteries get low. She also had a shipment arrive with cute lounger-style scratch beds, which she adores.

Saturday Hanging Out

Today was house cleaning day, and Jasmine loved to follow and watch. Except for the vacuum, she ran to her bed when she heard it; but most cats do. She has been very playful lately, and I took several videos of her chasing toys and chatting. I think they are too big to upload right now, so I will shrink them. She is a wonderful pet! And behaving so nicely with us!

Fun!

Jasmine has been a very loving and loyal cat! She follows me around like a tiny dog and sits on my lap while I do my marking, purring all the while. First time I have ever enjoyed marking! I will post photos soon! I must say, I am impressed at how well she transitioned homes. Wow!

Toy fun!

Jasmine had a good first 'solo' day as we went to work. My mother popped by to check on her and keep her company for a few hours, plus I came home for lunch. She seemed very happy about all the attention.

This evening we brought out a new toy for her; a ball in a ring which she enjoyed off an on for an hour. She likes to play with it more with a buddy (me) then by herself! It should keep her entertained during the day tomorrow.

                     

Still loving her bed

Well, it's Jasmine's first night being so playful! She is chasing a feather on a string toy, and stalking moving fingers under her blankets in bed. Super cute! She is so in love with her crate that she runs into it often and rolls around or kneads it. I think she will sleep in it tonight like she did this afternoon. The other nights she still crawled into a box for safety, but she seems very secure tonight. It's also the first day of using Feliway cat pheromone to help her settle. I think it has helped a lot and explains her quick calmness today (it came in the mail this morning!). Either way, little kitty is having fun...and so are we!

I put a towel in her crate in addition to the big cozy cushion so she can hide under it. Have to buy a cute soft baby blanket for her tomorrow instead.

Suntanning

What a beautiful day. Jasmine is in love with her kitty crate to sun herself in the window while sniffing the breeze. She hasn't wanted to move from this spot for at least two hours now. Purring and kneading constantly!

Doing Well

Jasmine is doing very well and enjoying exploring the whole house. She finally was brave enough to do a full cat scan of the downstairs! She is a very affectionate cat and responds well to her name. She keep kneading my legs when she sits on me. Too cute! Pictures to follow!

Saturday Night exploring!

Jasmine was super brave last night and really wanted to explore the house. She went into the other rooms upstairs, and down the stairwell. She explored the entranceway and downstairs bathroom. Its funny to see her confidence grow as she realises nothing is going to jump out at her. I think she wasn't sure if we had another cat or dog.

Tee Hee Hee!

 I bought this at the store last week, and forgot about it until I opened my kitchen cupboard this evening. It had been the top item in the Coke Bin!

First Morning

Jasmine certainly explored the room throughout the night. There were little paw prints on all the shelves, tables and desks. She ate some of her food and had water as well, which is a good sign. When I came in for a first morning hello, she was in the Ikea box, snoozing. She peeked out and looked around and then warily stepped out of the box. She came over and started rubbing against me like crazy...my ankles, my hands, my arms, my face. Then she would walk around the room only if I walked with her. She stayed right beside my legs and rubbed her face on every object she could to scent mark it. She rolled on the rug too. Jasmine seems to be adjusting faster than I thought for a nervous little kitty!

Arrived!

Little Jasmine has arrived...although nervous (as most cats are in a new house) she has taken a brief sniff around the room and settled on a quiet warm corner near the computer. She has also popped back into her kennel cab, popped back out again, sniffed the rug and nibbled on one cat treat. She is also listening to the 8 Hours of Cat Relaxation YouTube channel. She is curious about the cat tent and has put her head in, but not crawled in all the way. Maybe tomorrow! For now, it looks like she will be sleeping with one eye open!

New digs...

This is my new home. I have a few new items...stylishly coloured litter pan, a crate-bed, a tent, new toys...! So fun!
